Welcome to the website of SZESAT, the interdisciplinary student research college of Széchenyi István University!

All members of our team take part in the projects voluntarily; our personal goals include gaining knowledge, developing, self-education and creation. Our students decide which professional projects to launch, and it is their task to build and run the project organisation needed for them. Students are drawn to emerging technologies — space, quantum, artificial intelligence, high-altitude platforms — and gladly choose professional projects from these fields.

It is our undisguised goal to build and operate our own pocket satellite in outer space in the future.

We consider it important to share the knowledge we have gained with younger generations, sparking their interest in the natural sciences. We are happy to measure our knowledge at international and domestic professional competitions, and we equally welcome it when others share their experience with us.

  1. 6 August 2026

    New GND & MCC site visit on the K0 rooftop.

  2. 31 July 2026

    We attended the CanSat finals.

  3. 29 July 2026

    Astronomy outreach event in Rácalmás.

  4. 30 June 2026

    As part of Gyerekegyetem, we showcased our ground station established in D800.

  5. 27 June 2026

    We gave a presentation about our satellites and plans at HAM RADIO Friedrichshafen 2026.

  6. 25 June 2026

    As part of Mobilis Gyerekegyetem, we introduced students to the mysteries of quantum communication.

    We participated as speakers at the Quantum and Space Research Conference organized by NMHH.

    We participated in the ESA NAVISP conference, where we analyzed PNT resilience.
